Position: Clinical Research Coordinator I

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
The major responsibilities of the position will involve working with our affiliate network in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest to support screening, recruitment and enrollment of patients. This individual will function as the liaison between BRI, our affiliate network and the national study network. Duties will include working closely with our affiliates on a daily basis, training new affiliate sites, preparing IRB submissions and assisting with affiliate public relations/marketing.  Additional responsibilities will include processing blood samples and facilitating study participation in outlying areas.  This position requires some travel, and may include working on some weekends and evenings.

The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and be pro-active, self-directive, enjoy working with people, and comfortable with leading group discussions/meetings.  An understanding of type 1 diabetes, an enthusiasm for diabetes research and experience in public relations or marketing is a plus.
