What is the Type 1 Diabetes Registry study?
The diabetes registry at Benaroya Research
Institute is a confidential list of people with
diabetes who might be willing to participate in
future research studies. Information from this
registry is used to contact possible
participants. Those on the registry also receive
a copy of the "Diabetes Research Update"
newsletter twice a year.
Who can participate?
Individuals with any type of diabetes.
Individuals do not need to live in Seattle or the
Washington state area to be listed on the
registry.

What do I have to do as a study participant?
Please contact us to receive a patient registry
form. You will be asked to provide your contact
information and answer a few questions about your
medical history. We will contact you if you are
eligible to participate in a future study and
will explain all the details of the study at that
time. Of course you are never under any
obligation to participate, and you may choose to
participate in some studies but not others.
